What to expect on your first visit
Welcome to Dental Embassy in Canberra, where we’re empowering you to achieve optimal oral health and smile with confidence.
If this is your first visit with us, you can absolutely expect our focus to be on your overall patient care.
Our expert team of dentists will deliver your treatments with empathy, warmth and friendliness, always being mindful of addressing any concerns with your oral health, and providing the best advice for you as an individual.
We will always make a full and independent assessment of your current condition/s, even if you have seen another dentist previously.
If your first visit is not a dental emergency, you can expect us to provide:
- A comprehensive and thorough examination
- Discussion of your history
- A check of your jaw joints and mouth
- An assessment of your bite, any teeth decay or wear
- Possible radiographs to show us what we can’t visually see
- A detailed treatment plan with options and costs
- Clean, polish and hygiene advice (time permitting)
Please prepare for your first visit by providing:
- A medical summary or medications list that you may have
- Advice on any known allergies.

You are always supported by our dedicated Oral Health Therapists, who are experts in facilitating a treatment and preventive care plan when we identify gum disease during your first visit. Depending on your gum disease assessment your clean may or not be completed on the same day.

Check-up, clean + fluoride= $150
Aged 8-12yrs
Check-up, clean + fluoride= $175
Aged 13-18 yrs
Check-up, clean + fluoride= $250
We know dental work can be daunting for children, especially if it’s their first time. At Dental Embassy we want to assure all parents that we take the utmost care when it comes to your children’s dental treatments,
All children are booked in with our experienced Oral Health Therapists who are dental allied health professionals trained in preventive dental care, including paediatric dental treatments, We provide a calming, supportive and friendly environment for children so that they develop a positive association with going to the dentist from an early age and into the future.
*All parents/guardians who are active clients with us will receive gap-free dental check-ups for their children until they turn four. Have a chat with our team to confirm if your child is eligible.
Bulk billing for eligible children
We bulk bill children eligible for the Child Dental Benefit Scheme and eligible Department of Veteran Affairs card holders.
Fees, rebates and health funds
Feel free to contact us to discuss the fees for any dental treatments, our friendly staff are here to guide you.
We gladly accept all health funds and will claim your rebate on the spot using HICAPS. There may be a difference between our private fee and what the health funds covers, which is an unknown until we claim using your private health fund card.
We also offer payment plans, so please contact our staff to discuss.
Payment plans
A TLC payment plan has the flexibility to pay off as quickly as you want, provided that there is a minimum payment of $70 per week. This payment plan covers any dental fees and related costs like flights or accommodation – the entire process is arranged by their team. There aren’t any upfront or hidden fees – the $70 per week payment covers everything.
The interest rate is determined by the applicant’s score, but these rates are very competitive, and the interest charged is only charged to the term you wish to use so very flexible.
Appointment cancellation
Help us keep our appointment books up to date by contacting us as soon as you know you will not be able to keep your appointments. This gives us time to fill the space that your appointment was sitting in and means that we can provide more options to fellow clients.
If cancellation is necessary, please contact us at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment time to avoid cancellation fees.
