First Visit

FIRST VISIT

If its not to manage a dental emergency, then at your first visit to our practice, expect a comprehensive and thorough examination. It starts with knowing your allergies and medical history, checking your jaw joints called TMJ, checking the lining of the mouth and lips for signs of oral cancer, checking your bite and assessing your teeth for decay, worn and attrited areas. A few radiographs are also taken which gives us more information which we can’t visually see. We will then discuss our finding with you along with answering any aesthetic concerns you might have. A detailed treatment plan is presented with options and cost to help you make an informed financial decision. Time permitting we can then clean and polish your teeth along with providing oral hygiene advice.

In preparation for your first visit, please provide or bring a medical summary or medications list you may have. We usually don’t need transfer of records from your previous dental practice as can make an independent assessment of your current condition.
