Dr Anna Huang

Conscious sedation and pain control
Dr Anna provides IV sedation at Dental Embassy. Having a dedicated sedationist in the room means your dentist concentrates on the treatment while Dr Anna concentrates on you.
Dr Anna’s career spans tertiary hospital settings, rural and remote clinics, and private practice, across several states and territories.
She works with patients who have complex needs, including trauma histories, severe dental phobia, heightened pain sensitivity and pronounced gag reflexes, using conscious sedation and pain control.
Dr Anna is an educator and mentor. She has supported the professional development of dental officers, dental sedationists and dental assistants across NSW Health, and served as a tutor and mentor for undergraduate and postgraduate students at the University of Sydney.
Over the years she has led quality improvement projects in public hospitals that improved efficiency, reduced waste and improved patient safety. Her work was recognised with the Mentor of the Year Award at Westmead Hospital in 2013, and she was invited as a Fellow of the International College of Dentists in 2026.
Outside work, Dr Anna likes hiking, skiing, travelling and cooking. She doesn’t mind driving the kids around town for sport, because it is the best way to hear the latest news from the school grounds.
